Our Mission
THE MISSION STATEMENT OF THE GLOBAL FELLOWSHIP
1. It is our mission to exalt and glorify the only saving name of our Lord Jesus Christ – the centre of all our effort to win souls for His glory in Africa and beyond. – “Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name”- Philippians 2:9
2. To affirm and consistently proclaim the imperativeness of the Apostles’ doctrine; without which, no one can be part of the body of Christ or claim the status of a true Christian – “Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this ,thou shall both save thyself, and them that hear thee” - 1Timothy 4:16
3. To strengthen and encourage the unity of the Spirit, Faith, Worship and true fellowship among all apostolic believers in Christ Jesus, which includes all ministers, elders, leaders, workers, etc. – “But if we walk in the Light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another…” - 1John 1:7 “…All that believed were together, and had all things in common”- Acts 2:44
4. To enlighten all born again believers that the Church of Jesus Christ is one body with many members, and that the members of the body are not distinct denominations or organizations, but believers in Christ with the same mind – “So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and everyone members one of another” - Romans 12:5, “For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body ,being many are one body: so also is Christ”- 1Corinthians 12:12
5. To affirm that the Almighty God, the Jehovah of the Old Testament, is the same one that became flesh in the New Testament: God took a name among men called Jesus {Jehovah is our salvation} - John 1:14, 1Timothy 3:16.
FAITH STATEMENT OF THE FELLOWSHIP
WHAT WE BELIEVE, TEACH, AND PRACTICE.
This statement of faith is not predominantly Global Fellowship's mission or the organization beliefs; but the beliefs, teachings and doctrine of the Apostles from the early Church.
1. We believe that the Bible {all scriptures} is the infallible Word of God - 2Timothy 3:16, 2Peter 1:20-21
2. We believe in the only One True God the creator of the heaven and earth. God revealed himself in the Bible as the only true God: the I AM that I AM, the Jehovah in the Old Testament: He is also the Word that became flesh in the New Testament –Jesus Christ: This is the name that Jehovah God took among men for salvation of Mankind - {Exodus 3:14, Exd. 6:3, John 1:14, Acts 4:12}
3. We believe in the Blood of Jesus Christ for the redemption and atonement of mankind - {Ephesians 1:7, Hebrews 9:12-14, 1Peter 1:18-19}
4. We believe in the Apostles’ doctrine given by the Lord Jesus Christ: only by this doctrine and teachings can all men be saved and be a part of the body of Christ {The Church} - Matthew 28:18-20, Acts 2:42, Ephesians 2:20-22, 1John 1:1-4
5. We believe in the ministry of the true prophets of God: And saints in the body that are anointed and inspired to bring forth prophesies that are inspired by the Holy Spirit and in line with the Word of God - Deut. 18:15-18, Acts 2:14-21, Acts 21:10-14
6. We believe in all the gifts of the Spirit that are appropriately manifested by the Holy Ghost for edifying and perfecting of the saints - 1Corinthians 12:4-12 & 28, Ephesians 4:8-12
7. We believe in the ministry or the office of Apostles, Prophets, Teachers/Pastors, evangelists, elders, deacons, helps etc. as given to the Church according to the scriptures - 1Corinthians 12:28, Ephesians 4:11, 1Timothy 3:1-13
8. We believe that everyone that is desirable or willing to be a Christian must be born again according to the Scriptures - John 3:3&5, Mark 16:16-17, Luke 24:47, Acts 2:37-38. Repentance from sins and all filthiness of the flesh: Baptism by immersion in Jesus name: and in-filling of the Holy Ghost.
9. We believe that the life of holiness, purity and sanctity is imperative for every believer in Christ: sanctified and consecrated life is a necessity not an option - Romans 6:12-16, 2Corinthians 7:1, Ephesians 4:22-24, Hebrews 12:14-16
10. We believe that all Christians must live in Oneness and unity {one accord} in the body of Christ – Unity of the Spirit: Unity in Worship: Unity in Faith: Unity in fellowship - Psalms 133:1, John 17:21-23, 1Corinthians 1:10, Ephesians 4:3-6
11. We believe in the second return of the Lord Jesus Christ and the resurrection of the dead- The dead in Christ shall rise first: then which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air - 1Thess. 4:16, 1Cor. 15:13, Rev. 20:5-6
12. We believe only the righteous people in God, obedient and faithful saints {redeemed of the Lord} will reign with Christ in eternity - Matthew 25: 31-33 &46, Revelation 5:9
13. We believe in orderliness and Church standards and structures: The roles for men of God {ministers, deacons & elders} positions and ministries for men, women, youth and children - 1Corinthians 12:28, 1Timothy 3:1-13, 1Timothy 2:8-13, Titus 2:2-10
14. We believe in the eternal damnation of the wicked, those that have rejected God; refused the Lord Jesus Christ and the Gospel: they will have their portion in the lake of fire with the devil and the fallen angels - 2Thess. 1:7-9, Revelation 20:10-15, Revelation 21:8
